  1. It’s 3 cups of Whole Wheat Flour.
  2. You need 3 tsp of Instant Dry Yeast.
  3. It’s 1.5 tbsp of Sugar.
  4. You need 1 cup of Warm Milk.
  5. You need 3 tbsp of Milk Powder.
  6. Prepare to taste of Salt.
  7. Prepare 1 tsp of Butter (room temperature).
  8. You need as needed of Milk and Butter for brushing.

Homemade Wheat Flour Bread instructions

  1. Take warm milk in mixing bowl. Add sugar and stir well. Then add yeast and mix well. Keep aside this mixture for few minutes for yeast to get activated..
  2. Then add flour, milk powder and salt to the yeast mixture. Never add salt to yeast directly. Always add salt above the flour. Mix everything well. Add warm milk or water if required. The dough should be like a paste. Then take the dough on the kitchen platform. Knead dough properly for atleast 10 to 15 mins. It will stick to hands and the platform. Use scraper to remove dough and again start kneading. After around 10 mins or so you’ll get non sticky dough..
  3. Keep this dough in greased bowl and cover with a damp cloth to rise in warm place for about an hour..
  4. After an hour or so punch the dough to remove air and knead and remove dough on platform. Knead well and make cylindrical shaped dough. Ensure no cracks are there. Place this cylindrical shaped dough in bread loaf greased tin. Cover tin with damp cloth and again keep in warm place to rise for an hour again..
  5. After an hour brush the top with milk and bake in preheated oven for 35 to 40 mins on 200 degrees. Then remove bread from oven and immediately brush with butter and keep aside to cool down for 10 mins..
  6. After 10 mins remove bread from tin and cover with damp cloth and let it cool completely. Cut into thin slices once it is cooled completely..
  7. Flax seeds or sesame seeds can also be added to the dough to make bread more healthy..
